The role You will lead the quality of education and teaching and learning across the school, working alongside a second Deputy who holds the pastoral brief. Your remit covers curriculum structure and sequencing, foundational knowledge, assessment and progress, identifying gaps in English and maths, lesson observation, feedback and CPD. You will line manage curriculum leaders and provide coaching and support to newer middle leaders. The role is highly visible and operational, with a focus on driving improvement, building strong relationships with staff and pupils and ensuring agreed priorities are delivered at pace. There is no timetabled teaching commitment, although modelling and co-teaching may occasionally be required.
