The Interim Deputy Chief People Officer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department in the healthcare sector. This temporary role is essential for ensuring smooth HR processes and supporting organisational goals effectively. Client Details You will be working for an NHS Trust based in Essex. Description A broad understanding of People, HR, OD and EDI functions. The seniority and confidence to provide strategic leadership and deputise for the CPO when required. Proven experience managing complex employee relations and medical workforce issues, including MHPS cases, hearings and appeals. Solid knowledge of medical staffing, job planning and contractual matters. Someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver at pace. A flexible approach, with the ability to step into different areas of the People function as required. Profile A successful Interim Deputy Chief People Officer should have: Proven expertise in Human Resources within the NHS. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and strategies. Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements. Ability to manage employee relations and drive engagement initiatives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
