Interim Chief Financial Officer – MandA and Strategic TransformationHybrid / Yorkshire HQ | 12-Month Initial Contract | Industrial ManufacturingParkinson Lee Executive Search are delighted to be leading an interim CFO appointment on behalf of a major UK-based industrial manufacturing business. With annual revenues of over £1bn and a vital role in the national infrastructure and supply chain, the business is entering a transformational period involving strategic investment, MandA, and a potential change of ownership.We are seeking an experienced and commercially grounded interim CFO to work closely with a small and pragmatic executive leadership team - providing strategic financial leadership and MandA expertise during this pivotal transition.

Key Focus Areas

Lead financial readiness for external investment, co-investment or saleSupport corporate structuring, due diligence and engagement with stakeholders including HMG and external advisorsPartner with the existing Finance Director (who retains day-to-day responsibility for financial operations) to provide continuity, support, and mentoringOperate as a key member of a high-performing executive team navigating a uniquely complex and fast-moving environment

Candidate Profile

Significant experience in MandA, investment readiness, and transformationBackground in industrials, manufacturing, or engineering (ideally £1bn+ turnover businesses)Gravitas, calm under pressure, and able to influence credibly at senior levelsCollaborative, grounded, and culturally aligned with a hands-on leadership team

This is a UK-headquartered business, with hybrid working from the Yorkshire head office and occasional travel as required. The role will report to the CEO.This is initially a 12-month contract with a start date in September 2025.
