Interim Charities Accountant

Our giving focuses on Young People and Education, Heritage and Arts, Older People and Housing, and Church and Communities. Through this work, we aim to improve lives and support lasting societal change. The Company is sole corporate trustee of six charities and sole member of a seventh. Together, they award significant grants, provide social housing and steward substantial charitable assets and investments. The Role We are seeking an Interim Charities Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team for a nine-month assignment. Reporting to the Head of Finance (Charities), you will deliver financial and management accounting across seven charities and act as a trusted business partner to the Housing and Philanthropy teams, providing insight that supports sound decisions, effective stewardship and the efficient use of resources. This broad, hands-on role spans the 2027 budget cycle, management reporting, forecasting and financial modelling, statutory accounts preparation and liaison with auditors. You will manage cash flow, reserves, capital projects and intercompany accounting, and deliver clear financial reporting to committees.
