Assistant Accountant (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract) Romsey Full-Time Office Based £30,000 pro rataAn established international manufacturing and consumer products business is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an immediate requirement and presents an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is available at short notice and looking to gain exposure within a busy and commercially focused finance function.Reporting to the Finance Controller and working closely with senior finance leaders, this role offers broad exposure across transactional finance, month-end processes, reporting, reconciliations, VAT, audit support and business analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of the finance function while contributing to ongoing process improvements and systems development.The RoleThis is a varied, hands-on position that combines day-to-day finance operations with exposure to month-end reporting and wider business support activities.Core Finance ResponsibilitiesPreparing bank, petty cash and payment platform reconciliationsProducing aged creditor and customer balance reportsSupporting supplier account management, statement reconciliations and query resolutionPreparing weekly payment runs and supporting payment controlsAssisting with credit control activities and customer account reportingManaging employee expense processes and ensuring compliance with company ..... full job details .....
