Interim Assistant Accountant

This is a varied role offering exposure to both management accounting and payroll, making it an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to broaden their experience within a busy and supportive team.The role operates on a hybrid basis, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home.Key responsibilities will include:Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments and other month-end journalsSupporting the month-end close process and assisting with the production of management accountsAssisting with balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variancesPreparing and submitting VAT returnsSupporting the processing of payroll for over 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryAssisting with payroll reconciliations and responding to payroll-related queriesMaintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial controls across the finance functionProviding ad hoc support to the wider finance team as requiredThe successful candidate will have:Previous experience working within an Assistant ..... full job details .....
