Interim Accounts Assistant - Start ASAP

Hays are recruiting for an Interim Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team in Warminster on a short-term assignment to help tackle a backlog that has built up following staff holidays, sickness absence and recent leavers.This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and support the team with high-volume transactional finance duties from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Inputting purchase invoices onto Sage
• Posting supplier and customer payments
• Allocating monies received and paid
• Matching invoices to delivery notes
• Processing and managing finance emails
• Maintaining accurate ledger records
• Supporting the team with general transactional finance tasks
• Assisting with backlog reduction and ensuring records are up-to-date

Essential Experience

• Previous Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Ledger Clerk experience
• Strong working knowledge of Sage
• Good Excel skills
• Confident using Microsoft Outlook
• Experience within high-volume transactional finance environments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Available to start at short notice

Working Pattern

• 37.75 hours per week (40 hours can be considered)
• 08:30-17:00 each day (flex on child pickup, etc)
• 45-minute lunch break
• Part-time applicants will also be considered
• Office-based role, Monday to Friday
• Some flexibility available around childcare commitments
