Instrumentation and Monitoring TechnicianLocation: OxfordSalary: 27,000 - 32,000 + benefitsType: PermanentA specialist engineering consultancy is looking for an Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician to join their team in Oxford.This is a hands-on opportunity suited to Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering graduates looking to build a career in ground and structural engineering.The RoleYou will work on a range of construction and infrastructure projects, installing and monitoring specialist instrumentation used to assess the performance and behaviour of foundations and structures.Your responsibilities will include:Installing fibre-optic sensors and monitoring equipmentCarrying out site-based inspections, measurements and data collectionMonitoring strain, movement, temperature and structural behaviourProcessing and interpreting monitoring dataSupporting engineers with technical assessments and reportingWorking closely with site teams, contractors and engineersTravelling to project sites across the UKMaintaining high standards of health and safetyAbout YouDegree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subjectGraduate or up to 2 years'' relevant experienceInterested in practical, site-based engineeringComfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sitesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFull UK driving licence desirableThis is a great opportunity to gain hands-on ..... full job details .....
