A leading contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Instrumentation and Monitoring Engineer to support delivery on a multi-billion pound infrastructure scheme in the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile project during a critical phase of works, supporting geotechnical and structural risk management across complex construction activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation and management of instrumentation and monitoring systems associated with ground investigation, excavation support, earthworks, structures and adjacent asset protection.Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee instrumentation and monitoring activities across the project.- Review and interpret monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies and potential risks.- Develop, implement and maintain monitoring plans in line with project and client requirements.- Manage trigger levels, alert systems and escalation procedures.- Liaise with geotechnical, temporary works and construction teams to ensure monitoring requirements are fully integrated into delivery.- Support and review ground investigation activities and associated reporting.- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and health and safety requirements.- Prepare technical reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.- Coordinate specialist subcontractors undertaking instrumentation installation and maintenance.Requirements- Proven ..... full job details .....
