Instrument Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a highly skilled Instrument Engineer to join a leading Design and Engineering Consultancy, in a long-term contract position, outside IR35. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client''s office in Manchester.

-Competitive hourly rate from -5055 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide technical input and review for instrumentation in projects and proposals.

-Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures.

-Prepare specs and requisitions for control systems and instrumentation.

-Review supplier quotes and define installation scopes.

-Support system development, functional safety, and obsolescence management.

What we are looking for:

-Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas, Nuclear or Water sectors.

-Strong understanding of design, installation, and industry practices.

-Knowledge of UK legislation, standards, and explosive area requirements.

-Familiar with CE marking and compliance (ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery, EMC).

-Awareness of risk management and HSE requirements.
