Job Title: Instructor / Technician - BrickworkLocation: BournemouthContract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £24,263 - £25,573 per annumOverviewA Further Education College is recruiting an Instructor/Technician in Brickwork to provide technical, instructional and health and safety support within construction workshops. The role supports brickwork and related wet trade delivery, ensuring high standards of practical training and safe working environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport lecturers and students in maintaining brickwork workshop standardsPrepare, organise and demonstrate safe use of bricklaying tools and equipmentSupervise practical student activities where appropriateMaintain and repair tools, mixers, benches and workshop areasManage stock control for bricks, blocks, mortar materials and consumablesOrder materials and negotiate best valueEnsure health and safety compliance within brickwork workshopsWork closely with Health and Safety teams and Learning ManagersEssential RequirementsLevel 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)Site or labouring experience within brickwork/constructionBackground in bricklaying (desirable)Good written and verbal communication skillsStrong understanding of workshop health and safetyPassion for supporting learners entering the construction industryBenefits27.5 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 30.5 after 5 years)Additional leave during Christmas closureRetail discount schemesNEST Pension SchemePermanent position with progression ..... full job details .....
