Instructional Design Manager

As the Digital Learning Design Manager, the role is accountable for influencing, driving and executing the LandD digital design strategy through their own solutions and team outputs. This LandD strategy drives a learning and performance culture within the business, underpinning employee skills development and enabling strategic business objectives. The role manages a team of Digital Learning Design Specialists who define and build learning solutions that address identified business performance needs across functions to support our global business, specialising in systems, product and behavioural training. The role also involves hands-on design and delivery of complex multi-unit solutions, with credible modelling and mentoring by doing.Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of a team of Digital Learning Design Professionals, including forecasting, prioritisation and scheduling of activities.Management and delivery of a portfolio of learning projects across multiple business units.Role model and hands-on delivery of complex pan-business learning solutions.Communicate and plan strategies to ensure design projects are delivered on time and in line with governance standards.Drive a customer-centric mindset placing both the customer and employee at the heart of experiential learning design.Ensure consistent learning design practices and standards to reduce duplication, increase repurposing and drive standardisation.Build effective relationships and feedback loops with LandD LT, LandT Managers, CC Managers, LP Professionals and peers to drive a continual improvement mindset.Demonstrate hands-on expertise in the profession of digital learning design.Lead and develop the capability of Digital Learning Design Specialists through coaching, mentoring and role-modelling.Proficiency in learning andragogy, including current and future learning methodologies and best practice.End-to-end execution of customer-focused, impact-driven, efficient learning solutions.Ability to influence the wider LandD strategy and agenda across the function and the wider Group.Ability to work in a matrix-management environment, directing the activities of others.Programme / Project / Stakeholder Management.Qualifications and Experience
High level of industry expertise in learning, with emphasis on adult learning in a large, complex, global organization.Expertise in the use of technology to drive a 21st-century approach to learning, skills development and performance support.Experience leading a team and developing the capability of Digital Learning Design Specialists through coaching and mentoring.Strong ability to influence the wider LandD strategy and collaborate with other learning specialists and teams.Experience working in a matrix-management environment and managing cross-functional programs.Benefits and Other Information
