Installer / Maintenance Operative

Our client is a well-established and reputable installation and recertification business operating across the UK. With a strong reputation for safety, quality and reliability, they provide installation, maintenance, and compliance services for a wide range of clients in both construction and industrial environments.
The Role
This is a field-based position involving installation, planned preventative maintenance, recertification, and remedial works at height. The role will include frequent UK travel and overnight stays as required. Full product and service training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Install access and safety systems in line with technical drawings and specifications.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, recertification, and remedial repair works on client sites.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Complete site inspections, audits, and reports, highlighting any non-compliance issues with accurate detail for client reporting.
Work to scheduled site visits, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Represent the company professionally on client sites, building strong relationships and delivering excellent customer service.
Maintain clear communication with clients and colleagues throughout each project.
Education & Experience
GCSE / O-Level (or equivalent) in Maths and English (essential).
Previous experience in scaffolding, roofing, fa-ades, or any role involving working at height (advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given).
Ability and willingness to complete an industry-specific NVQ (funded by the company).
Confident IT and report-writing skills.
Full UK driving licence (minimum one year driving experience).

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team (typically two-person crews).
Willing to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
