Switchgear Installation Engineer UK Field basedWe are seeking a skilled Installation Engineer with proven experience in switchgear systems to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical distribution equipment. The role involves working on-site across industrial, commercial, or utility projects, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, assemble, and commission low voltage (LV) and/or medium voltage (MV) switchgear systemsCarry out on-site wiring, cabling, and terminations in line with technical drawings and schematicsInterpret electrical schematics, GA drawings, and wiring diagramsPerform functional testing, inspections, and fault-finding on installed equipmentEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and company proceduresLiaise with project managers, clients, and other trades on-siteComplete installation documentation, test reports, and handover recordsSupport maintenance, upgrades, and retrofit projects where requiredTravel to customer sites as needed (including occasional overnight stays) Required Skills and ExperienceProven experience installing and commissioning LV/MV switchgearStrong understanding of electrical distribution systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience with busbar systems, protection relays, and control wiringKnowledge of relevant standards (e.g., IEC, BS EN)Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ..... full job details .....
