The Role
We're working with a leading provider of SCADA, telemetry, and instrumentation solutions to hire an Installation & Commissioning Engineer for projects across the UK. The role will suit someone with a background in electrical or instrumentation engineering and a passion for delivering high-integrity technical solutions in critical infrastructure environments (e.g. water, utilities, power).
You'll work independently or as part of a wider technical team delivering on-site installations, configuration, and commissioning of cutting-edge monitoring and communications systems.
Responsibilities

Survey, install, commission, and support site-based control systems and instrumentation

Deliver end-to-end engineering solutions in line with technical and quality standards

Liaise with project managers, internal stakeholders, and client asset teams

Adhere to customer frameworks and site safety requirements

Interpret and work from design documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation specs

Maintain accurate commissioning documentation and support timely handover
You’ll Need
-
3+ years’ experience in utilities sector (ideally Water)

Qualified electrician or instrument technician (C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, or HNC/HND)

BS7671 18th Edition certification

Hands-on experience with SCADA, PLC/RTUs, HMI systems

Experience reading and interpreting electrical/control panel schematics

CSCS/ECS, EUSR Water Hygiene card

Ability to work methodically under time constraints

Excellent communication, initiative, and problem-solving mindset
Requirements

Based in or willing to travel to the Anglian region
