Inspection Technician (manufacturing)Location: West YorkshireSalary: £30,000-£32,000 per annumContract: Full-time, PermanentWorking Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00 Friday 07:00-13:00We are looking for a hands-on Inspection Technician to join an established engineering manufacturing environment in Yorkshire.This is a practical, workshop-based position for someone who enjoys working directly with engineering components, precision measuring equipment and technical drawings. You will spend much of your time carrying out dimensional inspections using a range of handheld and specialist inspection equipment, ensuring components meet exact specifications.This role would be particularly well suited to someone from a machining, engineering inspection, metrology, manufacturing or workshop background, rather than someone whose experience is predominantly focused on quality administration or paperwork.Responsibilities• Carry out accurate dimensional inspection of manufactured components.• Use a range of precision measuring and inspection equipment, including:oMicrometresoVerniers and callipersoBore micrometresoHeight gaugesoShadow graph / profile projectoroThread wires and thread gaugesoPlug gaugesoSurface measurement equipmentoHardness testing equipmentoCMM equipment where required• Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications and work instructions.• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.• Check components against specified dimensional and technical ..... full job details .....
