Our Leicester cient is looking for 2 Technicians - Tape Testing and Metrology, to join them on a 6 month contract, due to an uplift in work. The roles do have the opportunity to go permanent following the initial timescales needed. Job Type: Full-timeDepartment: Manufacturing / Engineering About the RoleWe are looking for a Technician - Tape Testing and Metrology to join our UK team and play a key role in the day-to-day testing, inspection and traceability of HTS tape materials. This is a hands-on technical role, responsible for operating tape testing and measurement equipment, carrying out incoming inspection of HTS reels, maintaining accurate test and traceability records, and supporting the Tape Insertion Manufacturing Engineer with production activities. The successful candidate will have a practical, methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and accurate data. Key Responsibilities Tape Testing and Metrology Operate the tape test stand and associated tape-star and thickness measurement equipment on a daily basis. Set up and carry out testing and measurement activities in accordance with approved procedures. Accurately record, review and maintain test and measurement data. Identify and escalate abnormal or out-of-specification results. Maintain a clean, organised and controlled testing environment. Incoming Inspection Carry out incoming inspection of all HTS reels received at the UK office before they are released to production. ..... full job details .....
