Innovation Assistant Brand Manager

OverviewManpower are currently seeking an interim Innovation Assistant Brand Manager to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This is an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
Role detailsThe position is based in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 9 months, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience. The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced ABM to join our new fully integrated End-to-End brand team which covers both brand and mix design as well as in-market execution (BG-BU integrated team). The Innovation Design Lead will drive our three-year innovation plan, crafting and deploying beautiful on-trend innovation mixes. The role reports into the Simple Innovation Lead, and is ideal for someone seeking a final ABM rotation with autonomous, end-to-end scope across innovation and exposure to senior leadership through presenting work to the Global Brand Lead and BandW CMO.
Responsibilities
Directly contribute to shaping the innovation funnel, identifying key opportunities for growth based on market data and trends
Own and lead premium innovation projects end to end, with emphasis on beauty craftsmanship and collaboration with RandD to bring product science stories to the forefront
Represent projects in key stakeholder engagements such as brand reviews and Investor Boards
Drive Science and Desire through comms, creating content that showcases the science, ingredients and beauty of products in 7OA, Amazon stores, Brand.com, etc.
Lead a cross-functional project team, partnering with demand-creation and social-first teams

Naturally curious, passionate about skincare brands and how they engage with audiences
Team player with strong listening and analytical skills to build compelling plans and drive alignment
Demonstrable Passion for Beauty and staying updated on trends, innovations, and key players
Must Have Experience
Experience in Marketing. Global Brand Development experience is preferred, but not mandatory if you can demonstrate interest in Craft (product/pack, design, comms)
Knowledge of project network management and ability to lead cross-functional teams with key partners
Prior experience in a beauty category (e.g., Skin/Hair) is preferred

Contractors based in Kingston may be eligible for free parking at a local car park
