Infrastructure Team Lead

We''re recruiting an experienced Infrastructure Team Lead to join the IT function of a large global organisation in Newcastle.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience leading technical teams who enjoys the people management side of the role, while maintaining a good understanding of the underlying technology.You''ll manage an established team working across servers, storage and networking, taking responsibility for their day-to-day management, development and performance. You''ll also work closely with wider infrastructure teams and management across a global IT environment.The roleYour focus will be on leading and supporting the team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and people have the support and development they need to perform at their best.Responsibilities will include:Leading, coaching and developing a team of infrastructure professionalsHolding regular 1-to-1s and supporting individual developmentManaging absence, performance, holidays and team capacityCoordinating workloads and priorities across the teamSupporting engineers with technical issues and escalationsProviding oversight across Microsoft infrastructure, Azure and networkingEncouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing between infrastructure disciplinesSupporting the delivery of infrastructure projects and improvementsHelping maintain secure, resilient and reliable infrastructure servicesWorking with colleagues and technical teams across a global organisationWhat we''re looking ..... full job details .....
