Infrastructure Team Lead (Contract) Wakefield (Hybrid - 1-2 days on-site) Band 8a equivalent: £294.03 - £337.36 per day (Inside IR35) 6 months initial - potential extensionOverviewWe are supporting a large NHS organisation to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Team Lead on a contract basis.This is a hands-on leadership role, combining line management responsibility with technical oversight of enterprise infrastructure. You''ll lead a team delivering reliable, high-performing IT services that support critical 24/7 operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of infrastructure Engineers and SpecialistsOversee the day-to-day delivery of infrastructure services (networks, servers, core platforms)Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of enterprise environmentsAct as an escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidentsPlan and prioritise team workloads across BAU and project activitySupport delivery of the infrastructure roadmap and wider IT strategyWork closely with internal stakeholders, NHS partners, and suppliersDrive continuous improvement and service optimisationProvide mentoring, coaching, and development for team membersContribute to security best practice and compliance (beneficial but not core focus)Participate in an on-call / out-of-hours rota as requiredKey Experience and SkillsProven experience in a Team Lead / Line Manager position within IT infrastructureBeneficial to have: Network infrastructure (WAN/LAN, routing, ..... full job details .....
