Infrastructure Operations Engineer, VMWare, Automation, Hybrid workingHybrid Working - 3 days on siteLong term contract£400-£500 per day We''re seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment, supporting critical infrastructure services that underpin business operations. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex server, virtualisation and platform technologies, driving operational excellence, security, automation and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, performance and security of production infrastructure whilst supporting ongoing modernisation and optimisation initiatives. Please note, engagement is via umbrella company only; all tax and NI will be deducted at source. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation, administration and support of enterprise server and virtualised infrastructure environments. Coordinate and deliver regular operating system and application patching activities. Identify, assess and remediate infrastructure and application vulnerabilities in line with security requirements. Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency and service reliability. Support infrastructure lifecycle management, including upgrades, refreshes and decommissioning activities.
