Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer 12-month contract FarehamMy longstanding customer is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join an established IT team, supporting, and developing a secure, resilient, and highly available infrastructure environment.This is a hands-on infrastructure role covering Windows Server, VMware, cloud, and networking, with a mixture of BAU support, technical troubleshooting and involvement in infrastructure projects, migrations, and platform upgrades.Essential Technical Experience from the Infrastructure Engineer: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server.Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.Practical experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter.Experience supporting Microsoft Azure or AWS infrastructure.Strong understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls.Experience working within hybrid on-premises/cloud environments.Experience with infrastructure monitoring, backup, and recovery technologies.Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex infrastructure environments.Working knowledge of PowerShell or scripting/automation.
