Infrastructure Engineer - Storage

We are supporting a client looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong storage expertise to join an established Platform team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining stability across production environments, resolving incidents and contributing to continuous improvement.You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, support key storage technologies and ensure services remain resilient and available.Role: Infrastructure Engineer - StorageLocation: West Midlands, East Midlands, Sheffield, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Bath, Bristol, SomersetDuration: initially 3 months with possibility of extensionStart Date: ImmediatePay Framework: umbrella company (Inside IR35)Rate: 400-650 per dayKey ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and resolve production incidents, escalating where appropriateCarry out technical tasks including patching, storage allocation, scripting and backup configurationPrioritise workload effectively to support high priority activitiesContribute to process improvements and team efficiencyProduce clear and accurate technical documentationSupport and collaborate with team members across the platform functionEssential ExperienceStrong experience within complex, high-pressure production environmentsIBM Flash Systems, including replication (global mirror, metro mirror, change volumes)Spectrum scale (GPFS, NFS, SMB) in active-active environmentsCluster management across Spectrum Scale, Oracle and ESXiLinux ..... full job details .....
