Infrastructure Engineer

OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a business undertaking a significant infrastructure remediation and upgrade programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving the stability, security and performance of the infrastructure estate, with a particular focus on VMware, server patching, network infrastructure and vulnerability remediation.This is a hands-on technical role suited to an engineer who is comfortable working across both Windows and Linux environments and can independently deliver infrastructure improvements within a live production environment.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, patch and maintain VMware ESXi 8.0.3 environmentsApply and manage VMware licensing upgradesDeliver infrastructure patching and vulnerability remediation activities across the estatePerform firmware upgrades and maintenance of Dell iDRAC 8 and 9 systemsDeploy and manage operating system, anti-virus and EUC patchingSupport Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls and connectivityMaintain and support Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environmentsWork within Oracle Linux and legacy Linux environmentsInvestigate and resolve infrastructure issues to minimise operational riskSupport infrastructure hardening, upgrade and resilience initiativesCollaborate with internal teams and third-party providers including network and connectivity suppliersExperience RequiredProven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or ..... full job details .....
