Infrastructure Engineer - Core Services - Leatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid)

Microsoft Servers, VMWare, Networks, Cisco, Meraki, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewall, VLAN, Routers, Switches, WiFi, VMWare, NetApp, Backup, CheckPoint, MSTeams, SolarWinds, WAN Cutover My Surrey base client are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to assist their Core Services team for an initial 6 month contract. This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work from their offices based in Leatherhead, Surrey 2 days per week. There may also be travel to other sites/datacentres along with the possibility of some out of hours work during planned Network/WAN cutovers. This role will suit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who has exposure working in large scale enterprise environments (5000+ users) supporting core services and datacentres. You will need be able to concisely demonstrate your past experience across networking, virtualisation, storage, backup, monitoring, utilising collaboration tools and managing on-premise hardware. The key deliverables for this role are: Support BAU operations across networking (Meraki LAN/Wi-Fi - Desirable), VMware, NetApp storage, Commvault/Veeam backups, Check Point Firewalls, Microsoft Teams/MTRs/Teams Phone, Xerox Workplace Cloud printing, DHCP/DNS, and physical infrastructure. General Microsoft Server maintenance Perform 3rd line troubleshooting and own incidents, problems, and changes through to resolution.
