IT Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)Location: Portsmouth (Onsite) Travel: Occasional travel to dockyards and customer sites across the UK (advance notice provided) Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required to start (candidates already holding SC clearance highly desirable) Contract Type: ContractOverviewWe are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery, deployment and ongoing support of a modern hosting and infrastructure platform within a secure defence environment. Working as part of a collaborative technical team, you will play a key role in building, deploying and supporting enterprise infrastructure services while ensuring a high standard of service delivery.This role is primarily based onsite in Portsmouth, with occasional travel required for installation and deployment activities across the UK.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, deploy and support enterprise infrastructure platforms.Administer VMware hosted services and virtual environments.Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for infrastructure services.Support and maintain Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environments.Configure and manage Dell server hardware and iDRAC.Maintain technical and operational documentation.Support asset management, logistics and supplier engagement activities.Participate in ITIL-based change management processes.Work closely with project and operational teams to deliver infrastructure services.Support onsite installation and deployment ..... full job details .....
