Information Rights Officer

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking for an Information Rights Officer to join our team based in Ipswich, Suffolk. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £32,578 - £37,563 per annum (pro rata for part time). This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally. About the Team The ICT, Programmes and Information Governance team is a multidisciplinary team responsible for the management and delivery of the organisation s ICT services and programme governance, as well as helping to maintain data protection compliance under UK GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018. About the role In this role, you will work closely with, and report to, the Information Governance Officer (IGO). Responsibilities will include: co-ordination of responses to Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations requests handling of all aspects of Data Subject Access Requests including the redaction of third-party data being the first point of contact for internal and external customers in respect to all aspects of data rights handling.
