Information Officer

Marks Consulting Partners are currently recruiting for an Information Officer to work with one of our local authority clients in South London.This is a Grade 8 (indicative) role working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, sitting within the Housing and Modernisation directorate''s Customer Experience team.What you will be doing:Managing the client''s inbox, assessing and allocating incoming FOI, EIR, DPA and SAR requestsHandling Council wide and Data Protection Act 2018 Schedule 2 requests, including from police, HMRC and other local authoritiesLogging and tracking requests to ensure responses are dispatched within statutory time limitsIdentifying and sourcing information, applying exemptions and redacting data as requiredSupporting FOI, DPA and EIR compliance across departments and liaising with the Information Commissioner''s OfficeWhat you will need:Working knowledge of FOI, EIR, DPA and GDPR legislationExperience managing a busy caseload and meeting statutory deadlinesStrong communication skills across all levels of the organisationAnalytical skills for handling data and producing performance informationConfident IT skills, including word processing and database managementIf this job is not quite right for you but you are looking for something new, please contact us for a confidential discussion.Marks Consulting Partners specialise in the recruitment of professionals across Property Services, Housing Services, General Practice, Town Planning, Regeneration and ..... full job details .....
