Information and Privacy Advisor

On behalf of Marine and Coastguard Agency, we are looking for a Information and privacy advisor (Inside IR35 for a 6 months contract based REMOTELY. As a Information and Privacy advisor, your main responsibilities will be: Key Responsibilities. Manage and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulation (EIR), Subject Access Requests (SARs), and other individual rights requests.. Assess requests and apply relevant exemptions in line with legislation and guidance.. Provide advice and guidance to colleagues across the Agency on information access and data protection matters.. Maintain accurate records using the case management system.. Coordinate responses and correspondence with the Information Commissioner''s Office (ICO).. Develop and maintain the Agency''s publication scheme.. Review and update information access policies and procedures.. Support the investigation, assessment, and monitoring of personal data breaches.. Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Privacy Notices, Data Sharing Agreements, contracts, and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).. Support audit, assurance, and risk management activities, including maintaining the Data Protection Risk Register.. Produce management information, statistics, and KPI reports.. Deliver awareness sessions, guidance, and training to promote a positive compliance culture across the Agency..
