The Industry Partnerships team creates new opportunities to enhance early development of Crick discoveries and technologies through partnerships with companies across the pharma, biotech and technology sectors. We are looking for an

Industry Partnership Manager

to join our team. You will work with representatives from industry partners across the pharmaceutical, life science and technology sectors to build meaningful, long-term partnerships that drive innovation and impact. You will identify and engage potential industry collaborators, shape and nurture links with Crick researchers, and negotiate collaboration agreements to enable productive relationships. You will also oversee a portfolio of active partnerships, ensuring smooth coordination across stages of project development. A strong scientific background and understanding of the Life Science sector are needed, with the ability to build relationships and matrix-manage stakeholders across diverse projects.What you will be doingConduct horizon scanning for and outreach to develop new partnership opportunities closely aligning the needs of Crick scientists with industry partnersNegotiate collaboration and partnership agreements aligned with the Crick “Discovery Without Boundaries” strategy and the Crick’s translation and commercial activitySupport the development of applications for external public/private fundingLead on the development of partnership governance, including Joint Steering Committees and Strategic Advisory BoardsMaintain management support and progress reporting through the partnership life-cycleWork with the Crick Innovation and Business team to maximise translational impact, including appropriate management of intellectual propertyAbout you

You will have:Undergraduate degree in bioscience or related disciplineComprehensive experience developing and delivering partnerships between industry and academic partners in the life science sector, including negotiation of collaboration and licensing agreementsAbility to command the confidence of all those reliant on effective deliveryStrong analytical skills to interpret and explain concepts clearlyStrong liaison and negotiation skills with academic and industry partnersQuantitative skills to support financial and commercial evaluations, including financial modellingWorking pattern and interviews

Working pattern:

Monday – Friday. As this role is stakeholder facing, there is an expectation to attend the office a minimum of 3 times a week, or more as required.Zoom calls with hiring managers to take place w/c 29th September; interviews w/c 13th October.Benefits and equality
