About the Role
This permanent position suits a skilled Industrial Refrigeration/Chiller Engineer covering the Midlands, including Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and surrounding areas. Working 8:30am to 5:00pm, the successful candidate maintains industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems for major customers in food production and distribution. Duties include fault finding, planned maintenance, servicing and repair of chillers and related plant. Salary ranges from £46,000 to £50,000 annually, with door-to-door travel paid and overtime at 1.5x. A company van and fuel card are supplied. Applicants should bring proven experience in industrial refrigeration, strong diagnostic abilities and a full driving licence.

The Opportunity
We’re working with a leading global specialist in industrial refrigeration and air conditioning who are continuing to grow their UK operation following a number of successful project wins.
They’re looking to add an experienced Industrial Refrigeration / Chiller Engineer to their established Midlands team.

Coming from a commercial refrigeration background and looking to make the move into industrial£ That could work too. The business is happy to provide additional training and development, including exposure to ammonia systems.
What You''ll Be Doing
Working as part of the commercial and industrial refrigeration division, you’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance and fault finding of refrigeration and chilling systems across customer sites.
Your work will include:
- Industrial refrigeration systems
- Glycol chillers
- Service and planned maintenance
- Fault finding and breakdown response
- Supporting large-scale refrigeration plant
- Ammonia project and service work
- Working within operational food production and distribution environments
You’ll cover East and West Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire on a mobile basis.
What We''re Looking For
We’re looking for engineers with:
- Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience
- F-Gas / CandG 2079
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A professional approach to customers and site work
- A willingness to develop within industrial refrigeration
Industrial refrigeration experience is desirable, but not essential for the right commercial refrigeration engineer with the attitude and fundamentals to make the transition.
