Shift Engineer - Multi-skilled (Electrical or Mechanical Bias)

We are looking for a highly versatile, professional, and self-motivated electrical mechanical engineer to join our dedicated engineering team. You''ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of a busy industrial laundry facility, ensuring equipment is running efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is keen to take on a hands-on role with long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all planned maintenance in line with the site maintenance schedule
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out repairs to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with current Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and management
- A multi-skilled engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (for electrical bias)
- Steam, gas or boiler qualifications (e.g. BOAS, COCN1) - an advantage
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- Fault finding with strong attention to detail
- Background in laundry, FMCG or similar industries preferred but not essential
- Basic salary £45,000 - £47,000
- 5hr working week
- 4 on 4 off shift patter - 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off
- Available overtime paid at your flat rate
