Role: Industrial Electrician

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Up to -40,000 Depending on experience

My client is looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician to work within industrial environments carrying out installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems
• Fault-finding on motors, control panels, switchgear, and distribution systems
• Working with 3-phase systems and industrial machinery
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Testing and inspection of electrical installations
• Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with 3 phase systems and industrial control equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• PLC fault-finding knowledge
• Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, utilities, or FMCG
• Experience with motors, inverters, and control systems
• IPAF or PASMA certification
