Industrial Electrician''s Mate / Electrical Mate / Electrical Improver - Water Treatment
Location: Bristol, South West (commutable from Bath, Filton, Avonmouth, Portishead, Newport, Gloucester, Swindon)
Rate: -18.00 - -22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Up to 50 hours per week + overtime
Job Type: Contract (Long-Term - Up to 5 Years)

Are you an experienced Electrician''s Mate or Electrical Improver looking for long-term industrial work locally to Bristol?

We are recruiting Industrial Electrician''s Mates / Electrical Improvers to support installation and maintenance works at a busy water treatment plant.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering consistent hours, overtime and work secured for up to 5 years.

This role is ideal for improvers with industrial site experience who want stable work on a major infrastructure project.

You will be supporting Industrial Electricians with installation and maintenance across plant equipment in a live utilities environment.

Duties include:

• Assisting with installation of containment (tray, ladder rack, trunking)
• Pulling and routing SWA and control cabling
• Glanding and terminating cables (under supervision where required)
• Assisting with installation of motors, pumps and control panels
• Supporting testing and commissioning activities
• Maintaining safe working standards on a live industrial site

This is industrial electrical work within a water treatment environment - not domestic or commercial.

To be considered, you must have:

• ECS Card (essential)
• Proven experience as an Electrician''s Mate or Electrical Improver
• Experience on industrial or construction sites
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings
• Strong understanding of containment and cabling
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualification
• 18th Edition (beneficial)
• Previous water treatment, utilities or heavy industrial experience

Applicants must have previous site experience. Trainees without site experience will not be considered.
