About the Role
Based at a recycling facility in Wath-upon-Dearne, South Yorkshire, this Industrial Cleaner / Litter Picker role supports daily site upkeep. Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am until 5:00pm, duties include sweeping, litter collection and general cleaning across indoor and outdoor areas. The position offers up to £12.71 hourly, paid weekly, with overtime after eight hours daily at time and a half, Saturdays likewise, and double time on Sundays. This permanent contract suits reliable people comfortable with physical, repetitive tasks and strict safety rules. Applicants must pass drug and alcohol screening and accept random testing throughout the year. Previous industrial cleaning or waste site experience helps but is not essential.

Location: Derwent Way, Wath West Industrial Estate, Wath-upon-Dearne, S63
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)
Overtime Rates:
- Overtime after 8 hours per day paid at time and a half
- Saturdays paid at time and a half
- Sundays paid at double time
Please note that candidate MUST pass drug and alcohol test and agree to random test during the year.
Industrial Cleaner / Litter Picker Required
We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Cleaner / Litter Picker to join a busy recycling facility based in Wath-upon-Dearne. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering long-term work with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The role will involve working both indoors and outdoors across the recycling site, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties will include:
- Litter picking across the site
- General industrial cleaning duties
- Keeping walkways, work areas and outdoor spaces clean and tidy
- Sweeping and clearing debris
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
- Supporting site operations with general housekeeping tasks
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous industrial cleaning, site cleaning, housekeeping or litter-picking experience
- Be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be physically fit and happy to undertake a hands-on role
- Be able to pass drug and alcohol test
