Indirect Procurement Category Lead IT Services and Software Preston (Hybrid 1-2 days onsite) 12-Month Maternity Cover 37 Hours per Week £35.00 per hour PAYE Inside IR35Morson are recruiting on behalf of BAE Systems for an experienced Indirect Procurement Category Lead to join their Procurement and Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity to support strategic IT procurement activities, manage key supplier relationships, and play a key role in delivering procurement solutions across a variety of IT projects.The Role Lead procurement activity across the full IT project lifecycle, from sourcing through to contract award.Manage strategic supplier relationships, governance, performance, and contract changes.Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, and service agreements.Support IT procurement transformation projects and supplier transition activities.Work closely with internal stakeholders, managing procurement queries and ensuring compliance.Support operational procurement activities, including requisition and invoice approvals.Manage supplier transition activities from incumbent providers to new suppliers.Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and service level agreements. About You Essential Commercial procurement experience with strong contract negotiation skills.Experience managing suppliers and stakeholder relationships.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
