Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) - Birmingham Children''s Trust
Our client, Birmingham Children''s Trust, is seeking an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO). This is a temporary ongoing post, paid at £38 per hour. Please let me know if you are interested? The role will involve the following: Chair statutory Child in Care Reviews and other review meetings as required, ensuring that all statutory requirements, regulations and procedures are followed. Ensure that care plans reflect the child or young person''s current circumstances, assessed needs, wishes and long-term aspirations. Promote effective permanence planning and ensure suitable arrangements are in place to achieve timely and sustainable permanence for children and young people. Monitor progress against agreed care plans and ensure that actions and decisions are implemented within required timescales. Participate in meetings and professional discussions relating to individual children where this supports the effective delivery of the IRO role. Child-centred practice Independent oversight and challenge Quality assurance and service improvement Requirements of the role: Qualified Social Worker Fully Social Work England registered 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules) Must have experience as a CP Chair or IRO Please apply online or contact Lindsey Morgan asap to discuss in more detail.
