Role: Independent Gender Violence AdvocateBased: Waltham CrossSalary: £15.50ph PAYE or £20 ph UMBStart Date: ASAPDuration: Temp for 3 months (potential extension)Hours: 35 hours per week 1 day from Waltham Cross and 4 days from home and out in the community if requiredOur client, a well-respected domestic abuse charity is looking to recruit an IGVA for their new Mimram service the successful applicant will work with domestic abuse victim/survivors of all risk levels - including high -; stalking victim/survivors, including non-DA stalking; and sexual abuse/violence victim/survivors. The role does not require specific experience of working with sexual violence clients but does need experience and confidence supporting high risk DA/stalking clients, including attending and providing input in MARAC.Essential requirementsExperience of working with vulnerable groups. Experience of managing a caseloadExperience of recognising and responding to safeguarding concernsExperience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
