Independent Domestic Violence Advocate

OverviewIndependent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) role at TieTalent (Victim Support) covering the Tamworth area. The role is 37.5 hours per week, with travel across Staffordshire required. Hybrid working is considered after a mandatory six month probationary period.
Responsibilities
Provide proactive, high-quality frontline support to victims of domestic abuse through ongoing risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, and emotional and practical support.
Work within a multi-agency framework including MARAC and local partnership responses to keep safety central to services for victims.
Promote the service, raise awareness of issues, minimise barriers, and improve access to support.

About the roleThis role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following the six month probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire is required.
Requirements
Experience of providing support to those affected by domestic abuse
Experience of undertaking needs and risk assessments and creating safety plans
Experience of MARAC and other partnership processes
Experience of multi-agency working
