Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Good Afernoon, I am currently representing Barnet Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3- 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) this role will be: NW9 4EW The right candidate will: To assess need and risk, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard vulnerable adults, children and families and promote positive outcomes. To contribute to the set up and delivery of a highly effective Barnet Domestic Abuse Support Hub (BDASH) in an efficient manner, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision, dependent upon the complexities of the case. To provide high-quality, independent, and trauma-informed support to victims of domestic abuse who are at risk of harm. The IDVA will work across statutory and community settings to ensure victims safety, advocate for their needs, and support them through the criminal justice system and other relevant services.
