Job Title: Income OfficerLocation: Warrington (Hybrid - 3 days from home, office-based Wednesday and Thursday)Rate: £24.00 - £25.50 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: Rolling contract (minimum 3 months)Hours: 37 hours per weekRequirement: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicleThe RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Income Officer on behalf of a housing organisation based in Warrington. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, with 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with social housing experience who is confident managing rent arrears and undertaking pre-court actions.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of rent accounts in arrears, ensuring effective recovery of incomeCarry out pre-court work including issuing Letter 1s and Letter 2sDraft legal notices in line with policies and proceduresMaintain regular contact with tenants via phone and email to negotiate repayment plansMonitor and review accounts, taking appropriate action to reduce arrearsAccurately update housing management systems and maintain detailed recordsWork proactively to prevent escalation of arrears casesRequirementsPrevious experience working as an Income Officer within social housingStrong knowledge of rent arrears recovery processes and pre-court proceduresExperience drafting notices and handling tenancy-related correspondenceExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage a busy caseload independentlyFull UK ..... full job details .....
