Working within the Revenues team, you will provide high-quality customer service while ensuring recovery processes are carried out accurately, efficiently and in line with current legislation and Council policies.What You''ll Do as an Income and Recovery Officer Manage the collection and recovery of Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Benefit Overpayments and other debts owed to the Council. Provide advice and guidance to customers on liability, discounts, exemptions, payment options and debt recovery processes. Negotiate affordable repayment arrangements, taking into account customers'' financial circumstances and vulnerabilities. Monitor repayment agreements, pursue outstanding debts and take appropriate recovery action in line with legislation and Council policy.
