We are seeking an Inclusive Learning Lecturer to support our Inclusive Learning department. The wellbeing and safeguarding of our learners are essential and as an Inclusive Learning Lecturer, the role involves providing education, training and skills development within a safe environment. If you are passionate, caring and enthusiastic about teaching, we would love to hear from you. The role involves delivering project-based literacy and numeracy through social enterprise mini-business ventures, enrichment activities, and preparation for work experience, focusing on OCN units at the Entry level. As well as the vocational and practical aspects of the Hospitality and Cooking Skills course, emphasis will be placed on developing students'' independence and confidence. Students can follow Functional Skills or a RARPA programme for English and Maths. The School Links course takes place one day a week and prepares secondary school students for the transition to college. Students work preparing CVs and preparing for interviews and the use of IT. The appointed candidate will ensure our Special Education Needs and Disability learners are supported throughout their entire study cycle with West London College. You will be supported by an experienced Manager and work closely with colleagues to provide the best service and experience to our learners. The successful candidate will need experience in teaching learners with severe learning and communication difficulties, learners with ASD and who may be non-verbal. They will have experience in managing and creating professional relationships with the learner''s parents/carers, external agencies, and the Head and Deputy Head of Department. Experience in managing multiple projects, accurate record keeping, handling of sensitive information and upholding confidentiality are also essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver project-based literacy and numeracy through social enterprise mini-business ventures, enrichment activities, and preparation for work experience, focusing on OCN units at the Entry level.

Deliver vocational and practical aspects of Hospitality and Cooking Skills courses; develop students'' independence and confidence; support English and Maths through Functional Skills or RARPA.

Support Special Education Needs and Disability learners throughout their study cycle; work with parents/carers, external agencies, and College leadership.

Manage multiple projects, maintain accurate records, handle sensitive information, and uphold confidentiality.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience in teaching learners with severe learning and communication difficulties, including learners with ASD who may be non-verbal.

Ability to build professional relationships with learners, parents/carers, external agencies, and College leadership (Head/Deputy Head of Department).

Experience in managing multiple projects, record keeping, and safeguarding/confidentiality.
