In-House Legal Counsel

Essex Hybrid Working An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded lawyer to join a highly regarded in-house legal team within a major international trade, infrastructure and logistics business. As the organisation continues to grow and invest in its UK operations, they are looking to appoint either a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel, depending on experience. More importantly, they are seeking an individual who is collaborative, pragmatic and commercially aware, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business. This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to complex commercial matters, procurement activity, infrastructure projects and strategic business initiatives within a fast-paced operational environment. The Role Working closely with senior legal leadership, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing practical legal support across a diverse range of matters. Key responsibilities include: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, including procurement, logistics, technology, property, construction and services contracts. Advising on contractual risk, commercial arrangements and regulatory obligations. Supporting procurement and tender processes, including public-sector or regulated procurement matters where applicable.
