Import Export Officer

Our client, a leading logistics Company based in Kent are looking for a Import / Export Officer with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and a desire to join a fast paced, dynamic environment where the focus is getting the job done right!The successful candidate will be handling imports and exports by sea, road and air between UK and Asia, Europe and Americas.Starting salary of £26,000 - £28,000 depending on experience with hybrid working options.Import / Export, Customs Declaration Officer duties to include:-Manage international cargo shipments from quotation through to final delivery.Provide quotations, negotiate with carriers, hauliers and suppliers.Receive and check customer bookings.Create job files.Liaise with all involved parties: agents, suppliers, clients, shipping lines, carriers, co-loaders, warehouses and hauliers. Ensure consignments are progressed as required, keeping customers updated.Understand the information required to make inbound and outbound clearances.Prepare, review, complete and submit customs declarations.Keep up to date with regulations, laws and customs procedures.Accurately raise all relevant documentation, job-costing, invoicing and closing off job files.Deliver an excellent level of customer service. Ensure work is completed within required timeframes.
