Import / Export Clerk

Freightserve-recruitment-are-looking-for-an-Import-/-Export-Clerk-for-a-well-established-Freight-Forwarder-based-in-the-Slough,-Berkshire-area.

Key-Responsibilities:-

• Coordinate-and-oversee-multimodal-transportation-activities-including-air,-sea-&-roadfreight.
• Ensure-efficient-routing-and-scheduling-of-shipments-to-optimize-transportation-costs-and-delivery-timelines.
• Liaise-with-carriers,-vendors,-and-clients-to-coordinate-shipments-and-resolve-any-operational-issues.
• Manage-documentation,-customs-clearance,-and-compliance-requirements-for-international-shipments.
• Provide-excellent-customer-service,-ensuring-client-satisfaction-through-effective-communication-and-problem-solving.

Requirements:-

• Proven-experience-in-multimodal-operations-within-the-freight-forwarding-or-logistics-industry.
• Strong-understanding-of-international-shipping-regulations,-customs-procedures,-and-documentation.
• Excellent-organizational-skills-with-the-ability-to-prioritize-tasks-and-manage-multiple-shipments-simultaneously.
• Proficiency-in-logistics-software-and-Microsoft-Office-Suite.
• Effective-communication-skills-and-a-customer-centric-approach.
