Greenford | Full-Time, Permanent | £28,000 – £32,000 + Performance Bonus

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and dynamic organisation based in Greenford, who are looking to appoint an Import / Export & Procurement Executive to join their operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate-calibre candidate with hands-on experience in international logistics and purchasing, looking to develop a well-rounded career across both import/export operations and procurement.

 

The Role

This is a dual-focused position, with approximately 50% responsibility in import/export coordination and 50% in procurement support. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods internationally while supporting supplier management and purchasing activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Import / Export (50%)

• Coordinate international shipments, with a strong focus on ocean freight
• Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities
• Track shipments and manage customs clearance processes

Procurement (50%)

• Support sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple suppliers
• Manage supplier communications, follow-ups, and order tracking
• Assist with cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings
• Conduct market research and support supplier negotiations
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records

 

About You

• Graduate-level education (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
• Previous experience in import/export operations, particularly ocean freight
• Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation (e.g. bills of lading)
• Exposure to procurement or purchasing activities is highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
