Join a leading freight forwarder based in Southampton where your coordination skills keep global trade moving.
They are seeking a detail-oriented Import Coordinator to manage international shipments from origin to destination.
Your Day-to-Day:Handle end-to-end import operations across sea, air, and road freight
Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and customs to ensure timely delivery
Prepare and process import documentation
Monitor shipments, update clients, and resolve delays or discrepancies
Ensure compliance with HMRC and international trade regulations
Maintain accurate records and update internal systems with shipment milestones
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handover to warehousing or final delivery
What You''ll Bring:
Experience in freight forwarding or import logistics (1-3 years ideal)
Strong knowledge of Imports and customs procedures
Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Familiarity with freight software (e.g. CargoWise, ASM, or similar)
- Must have experience with CDS
A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail
