Import Clerk

Opportunity for an experienced Import Operative to join a specialist Freight Forwarder based at their Heathrow Office. Our client is offering an excellent working environment and excellent prospects for career development:Duties will involve processing high value import shipments working with niche/high profile clients including:Plan and manage inbound shipments according to customers'' needsArrange import clearances and deliveries of high value goods including Import declarations andCITESCommunicate with clients updating them on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise Liaise with airline / airport handlers in order to meet operational requirements Maintain up-to-date schedule information, shipment status reports and shipping filesSupport team members in the import depart to ensure smooth operations Requirements Previous import experience in the freight forwarding sector preferably specialised in the movement of high value goods Knowledge of different types of imports is required (eg: bonded warehouse, IPR, TIB, etc)Good organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines Knowledge of CDS for customs purposes Knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures Mon - Fri hrs Competitive salary doe22 days Holiday + bank holidays ..... full job details .....
