Description

• Oversee and coordinate the import and export of goods within the logistics department.
• Ensure all shipments comply with international trade regulations and standards.
• Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation accurately.
• Monitor and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs authorities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support cost management by negotiating with logistics providers and optimising processes.
• Assist in resolving any issues or delays related to imports or exports.

Profile

A successful Import and Export Officer should have:

• A solid understanding of international trade and shipping regulations.
• Experience in logistics, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing shipping documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
